Description:	18 journal of the common council regular session to the members of the common council of the city of terre haute indiana notice is hereby given that a special meeting of said council is hereby called to be held in the council chamber of said city at 6:30 oclock p.m on january 14 1987 for the purpose of considering the following organizing the board of finance appointments to the following boards and/or commissions air pollution control area plan hulman links downtown development liaison garage board of works observer ray azar president return served the within and foregoing notice by leaving a true and complete copy of same at last and usual place of residence of and reading to and within hearing of all members of the common council of the city of terre haute indiana this 14th day of january 1987 councilman serving officer george alsop d snowden ray azar d benefiel james cook d snowden louis j duby j clayton l.e frazier d snowden larry kirchner d benefiel rose oneal-dixon d snowden william price d benefiel william f thompson d snowden motion was made by mr kirchner and seconded by ms oneal-dixon that the special call be accepted motion carried unanimously l.e frazier was elected president of the board of finance by a vote of 9 yes and 0 no l.e frazier was appointed to the air pollution control board by the president of the common council ray azar james cook was appointed to the area plan commission by president ray azar larry kirchner was appointed to the hulman links commission by president ray azar to serve in the place of the city council president on the commission larry kirchner agreed to continue to serve on the board of the downtown development board and to act as liaison to the city council as well no council member was appointed to attend board of works meetings since none were able to attend at the time the meetings are regularly scheduled
