Esther Hollingsworth is a long-time resident of the coal mining community of Universal, Indiana. She was born in 1918 and married Ben Hollingsworth, a coal miner. She is also a gifted storyteller who can make the old days come alive. She and Keith Ludden discussed coal mining, quilting and embroidery, storytelling and bootlegging. |
