Description: An interior view of the 1896 building known as The Castle, taken from the center of the first floor looking south. Written to a recipient at the Cleveland Public Library. Never posted. Handwritten text by library Director of the period Virginia Tutt. Public Library. So. Bend, Ind. 2-8-1908 My Dear Miss Edwards, Altho’ we have not heard from you for so long, we speak of you often, wonder what you are doing, etc. I sent you several postcards while on my eastern trip last summer. [continued on back] We are flourishing, working hard, and happy. In many ways you would hardly recognize our library. We have grown so much. Dot is sending with this a picture of a portion of our childrens room, we are said to have the prettiest in the state. Isnt Dot an artist, she took these pictures! Are you going to the A. L. A. next June? I am. Hope to see you there. Yours with the best of wishes, V. Tutt.
