Description: Printed on back: Upper left: Council Oak. LaSalle, first white man to set foot in Indiana (1679), used this South Bend spot to sign treaty with Indians in 1681. Upper right: Pierre Navarres Cabin. (1820) South Bends first white settler bartered with Indians as a representative of American Fur Company. Lower left: St. Joseph Countys Second Court House. Dedicated in 1855 and listed in National Registry of Historic Places. Lower right: Notre Dame. Since 1882 the Golden Dome of the Administration Building has landmarked this University founded in 1844. Thru the lens of Ernie Borror.
