2001 calendar created by Ladies of Distinction, a non-profit, role-model organization of career-minded professional women of color. The cover features photographs and short biographies of Bernard Streets, Viola Robinson, and Dr. Milton Butts, local civil rights pioneers that had passed away during 2000. Each month features inspirational quotations, important dates in African American history, and photographs and biographies of local men and women of distinction. Through Images of the Dream, Ladies of Distinction strives to promote awareness, knowledge and understanding among all people, while furthering the pride and dignity of those who identify directly with this heritage.
