Clothing tag reads: Milady Shop South Bend, Indiana. In 1919 D. D. Gross opened the first Milady Shop on Lincoln Way East in Mishawaka. In 1927 the store moved two doors down until 1938 when it moved to 119 North Michigan Street. The store was rebuilt there in 1951 and reopened in 1952. Milady Shops were opened in four different locations: McKinley Town & Country Shopping Center in 1961, Marquette Mall in 1967, Scottsdale Mall in 1973, and University Park Mall in 1979. All of the stores were closed by 1996. |
