Mrs. O.C. Carmichael, chairman of the board of the school, is depicted signing a down payment for the Cleland School to purchase the former Hoffman residence from the Indiana Province, Priests of the Holy Cross. Rev. William T. Craddick, C.S.C. and assistant provincial of the Holy Cross order, and George C. Coquillard, school treasurer, look on. Cleland School would later be renamed Stanley Clark School. |
