Speed review

Description: “Speed Review,” September 1935 “Early morning is the best time. Even the air seems to have dew on it. It’s sweet and heavy and smooth and a plane can bite into it ….” [According to GPP, Earhart wrote this after she and Paul Mantz went up in her Lockheed one morning, fresh from the Pacific and Mexican flights, to watch another pilot and his racing craft make a speed run. Soaring Wings, p.172]
