Inscription on well on Naghel Street in New Albany, Ind.

Description: This color photo from 1997 shows an inscription on a covered well at the home of Isaac and Nancy Campbell on Blair and Naghel Streets in New Albany, Indiana. The house is no longer standing. According to old church records, Bethel AME established in 1863 was the first organized black church in New Albany, and was in the home of the Campbells. The inscription reads, ;Nancy Campbell, (?) Rody Monroe, Ida Grundy, Chas. M. Grundy;.
