Snapshot of two girls in front of a wood frame schoolhouse. Captioned on the back: Old School house #13 on the Green Valley Rd. in New Albany. / It was later bought by Edw. and Christine Ruoff, moved further back from the road and remodeled for their home. The remodeled building is still standing on the east side of Green Valley Rd. about 1/4 mile south of Mt. Tabor. This was where my mother, Elsie Smith, attended school, and she is pictured in front at left with her friend Kathleen Wolf. -Donald Smith 2010. |
