This photo shows the Indiana Theater at 409 Vincennes Street in New Albany, Indiana. This was the site of the Calumet Club (c. 1919) and was vacant c. 1925 and became the Indiana Theater by 1927. It was demolished in January or February of 1960. The note on the label of this photo states that the color tones of this photo are very close to the actual colors of the building; the facade was trimmed with a tellowish textured brick around brown painted and recessed stucco panels. This photo was taken by Steve Anshutz in 1959. |
