Snapshot of a two-story Gothic Revival captioned on the back 1926 / Cornelia Memorial Orphans Home / 1801 Ekin Avenue, New Albany, Indiana. A note in the sleeve reads: 9/2011 Recognized as the handwriting of Clara Hangary, whose sister Julia was quite a photographer; She also served on the Orphans Home board. In the 1960s, Miss Clara has prints made of many of her sisters negatives & donated them where, she tought they should go before they might be lost (she had no close family locally). S. K. Anshutz. |
