Portrait of Brown and Rue, musicians, ca. 1930

Description: Copy photograph of two men in tuxedos identified on the back as Harry Brown and John Rue. The catalog card reads: ;Brown and Rue ran for 10 years from 1924-1934. John Rue and Harry Brown are pictured. This group began singing solos in Elks Minstrels. The American Legion had a meeting and wanted Harry Brown and John Rue to sing for it. Mr. Brown was remarkable on harmony. Mr. Brown and Mr. Rue sang together for 10 years. Also sang on WHAS but started on WLRP for a program for the White House.;
