Description: The message written in German in the margin is transcribed in a note below the image: This is the new hospital. How do you like it? How are you doing? Good luck to you. Rosa [Rosenal] cordial greetings Papa [Carl]. The postcard is postmarked 1906. According to the Lutheran Hospital web page, the hospital opened on Thanksgiving in 1904 and a new addition facing Fairfield Avenue was dedicated in August 1906.
