Walter Penrod (1883-1961) leads his horse team along Massachusetts Avenue and 8th Street. Mr. Penrod managed the Matthews Elevator for many years before moving to South Whitley and Medaryville. The two commercial buildings behind him on the west side of Massachusetts Avenue have been razed. |
