Wolf house, Shelby Township, Jefferson County, Indiana, circa 1915

Description: Written on the back is Uncle George and Aunt Lizzie Wolfs house at end of Tait [sic] Ridge (Burnham house during 1960s). The lender stated that Uncle George Wolf built the stone house. It is located between Brush Fork Road and Tate Ridge Road halfway between Manville and Pleasant.Family trees on Ancestry.com record life dates for them as George Edward Wolf (1880-1950) and Mary Elizabeth Lizzie Waas (1890-1992). The house appears to be older than one that George Wolf would have built. According to the Indiana Historic Sites and Structures Inventory (# 077-045-35003), the historic name of the property is the John Tart Farm.
