Schliessman Family Reunion

Members of the Schliessman family of Manilla, Indiana gathered in front of a home possibly belonging to the Barnard family who lived just north and west of Manilla. Roy Barnard married a daughter of John and Sallie Schliessman. The 1910 Federal Census indicates that John J. Schliessman operated a harness shop in the village of Manilla. He was 60 years old at the time. The photograph is blind stamped Schliessman of Manilla, Indiana. A home belonging to the Barnards at 3640 North 775 East in Walker Township, Rush County looks remarkably similar to the house in the photograph. |
