Mudlavia Hotel and Chapel, Kramer, Indiana, circa 1900

Description: Handwritten on the back by Dollie Brant is Kramer Hotel at Mudlavia - building burned 1920. Chapel at right. This hotel and the Hunter House were in operation at same time - both very busy places. Both had hacks that met every train in Attica and Wmsport [Williamsport] - clamoring for guests.Henry L. Kramer opened the Mudlavia Hotel in 1890 near a mineral springs said to have therapeutic properties. The resort and spa featured treatments and mud baths. Guests also had access to riding trails, a golf course, tennis courts, and a chapel.
