Description: |
Four snapshots of the brick house at 4170 Winthrop Avenue. The images show the exterior and girls seated on a patio near a brick grill. One of the snow scenes is dated 1940. It was built in the 1920s by the lenders father, Gilbert Arthur Reed, who was a mason contractor in Indianapolis. Reed first built the brick garage at the back of the property for his contracting business. He and his wife lived in the apartment above the garage while the house was being constructed. |
