A broom rests against the outside of the tent near a small clothesline strung to two trees.The Island Park Assembly, also known as The Western Chautauqua, was incorporated in 1879 and located on and near Sylvan Lakes Kerr Island. Educational meetings with religious, musical, and literary programs were held annually on the island for two or three weeks during the summer until 1906. |
