Description: The Interlaken School, located on the shores of Silverlake, followed a progressive curriculum influenced by the New Schools Movement. Boys who attended the boarding school received a traditional academic education as well as practical life skills training by helping to run the school. George K. Page (1870-1956) taught manual training at the school from 1910 to 1911, according to his obituary. He returned to the school in 1914 for an unknown amount of time according to a notice in the South Bend News - Times on April 21, 1914.Part of a group of photos labeled Studio of McDonald South Bend, likely referring to McDonald Studio, a photographer located on South Main Street around 1912.
