Description: Damage to the interior of a bar after two men were apprehended during a burglary. The two photographs depict a hole in the wall and an opened safe on the floor. Also visible are a jukebox, table jukeboxes (or wallboxes) above the booths, a Havana pinball machine, and a pay telephone. The typed caption reads Burglars caught in the act: June 27, 1947 3:05 a.m. / While Police car was make a routine check of business places in their district they caught these two thugs burglarzing a tavern at 2009 E. Minnesota. Clarence Beggs and Wilbur Dougherty had both served time before for the same thing. The William P. Eaton Tavern is listed at that address in Polks 1947 Indianapolis City Directory.
