Women cut and peel apples, probably near Lincolnville, Indiana, circa 1900

Description: Two women wearing aprons cut and peel apples into bowls on their laps. Between them is a basket of apples and wooden tray for the apple slices. The tray likely slid into a fruit dryer. A blanket or throw hangs as a curtain over the window. On the left is Huldah Jane (Hoch) Daihl (1845-1911) and this is possibly her house.Probably photographed by George (1875-1946) or Jacob Daihl (1877-1956), brothers who lived on a farm near Lincolnville.
