Description: Posing behind the display cases full of jewelry, watches, and clocks are (left to right) owner Charles Wesley Ham (1857-1936), and employees John Russell Kramer and Leslie Rowe. Ham, along with partner David P. Blake, opened the business in 1870s or 1880s. It was located at 3 E. Clinton Street on the south side of the courthouse square.According to his son, Kramer approached Charles Ham about a job and Ham told him if he could fix a broken clock he would have a job. Kramer successfully repaired it and worked there for several decades.
