In the center is the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral (also known as the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier, or simply "The Old Cathedral"). The George Rogers Clark Memorial (the round building to the right) was dedicated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on June 14, 1936. Today the site is part of the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park. |
