Description: This is probably the family of Henry C. Hapner, who owned a farm in section 2, Monroe Township, Kosciusko County from at least 1880 until his death in 1915. His family in the 1910 census corresponds to this circa 1906 stereoview. People shown are likely, left to right:Janette Nettie Weston Hapner (1854-1913, wife of Henry C. Hapner)Henry C. Hapner (1831-1915)Charles Henry Hapner (1879-1965, son of Janette and Henry Hapner)Etta Jane (Clouse) Hapner (1880-1950, wife of Charles)Mildred M. Hapner (later Hoffer, born 1902)According to A Standard History of Kosciusko County, Lewis Publishing Company, 1919, p. 606-607 and online genealogies, Henry C. Hapner moved to Monroe Township in 1863 where he lived with his first wife, Sarah Zimmerman who died in 1868. In 1872 he married Janette Weston. He was a farmer all of his life, and at the same time worked as a thresherman and saw miller.The American View Company was owned by photographer David Clymer. He primarily documented families near their houses in southern Kosciusko and northern Wabash Counties.
