Series of portraits with a ping-pong camera, Greentown, Indiana, circa 1905

Description: Gibson took many portraits with a sliding-back camera, also known as a ping-pong camera. It produced penny photos, or ping pong photos, that were either cut into single images or sometimes mounted with multiple views. The top two people are undentified, and the bottom is Gibsons daughter Violet Gibson (1897-1969). She poses in the majority of the photos with a doll.
