This home was originally built on the southwest corner of N. Meridian and E. Michigan Streets circa 1865 as the James C. Ferguson House. The architect was D. A. Bohlen. Later it was the home of Allen M. Fletcher, and eventually became the University Club. The building was remodeled circa 1894 and demolished in 1939.Engraved by the Boston Photogravure Company from a photograph by Thomas Harrie Rose, a photographer who was active in Indianapolis from 1883 to 1891. |
