Buildings nicknamed Rat Row, Hillsboro, Indiana, circa 1910

Description: This postcard shows signs promoting farming implements, F. M. Pitman Livery and Feed, and the Main Hotel in the 100 block of West Main Street near the Water Street intersection. Most of these frame buildings are gone and were later replaced with a gas station and the Hillsboro Town Hall. The two brick buildings in the center most recently housed the Penalty Box Sports Bar. Frank, the postcard sender, sits in his horse-drawn buggy near a block of buildings identified as Rat Row. Postmarked April 13, 1910.
