Carrie Eliza Johnson (1868-1947) stands between her parents, Sarah Helen (Sawyer) Johnson (1845-1931) and David Merritt Johnson (1837-1927). The family lived in Carpenter Township, Jasper County, Indiana during the 1880 census, where Merritt was recorded as a farmer. Carrie later married Charles Alfred Welch and lived on a farm 3 miles northeast of Goodland in Jasper County. They had two daughters, Winona H. and Helen Janet Welch. |
