Description: Stereoview handlettered on the yellow mount: Laying the Conner Stone [sic Cornerstone] Indianapolis Cort House [sic Courthouse]. The number 13. is written in the image on the right. Various issues of the Indianapolis News report that the derricks were installed at the excavation site on April 27, 1871 and the stone foundation work began on May 8, 1871.
