Description: Proprietor Jacob Poinsatte posing in front of the Jacob Poinsatte Place saloon. Also painted on the window is The East-End Park / Sample Room. It was located at 1016 Maumee Avenue. Jacob Poinsatte (1865-1926), a native of France, was later known as Poinsette. He, his wife Magdeline, and family also lived above the bar. A poster for Red Man / Red Horse Fronts / Manufacturers $4000 Contest dates the image to the summer of 1912, when newspapers advertised this manufacturers and merchants contest. Written on the album page is Jacob & Magdeline lived there w/ and Dad Saloon and my candy store.
