Danners Trolley Stop Cafeteria interior, Indianapolis, Indiana, 1966

Description: Second in a series featuring Danners 5-10¢ Store located in the Meadows Shopping Center, on the northeast side of Indianapolis (between 38th and 42nd streets). The photos were sent along with an informal letter by Max S. Danner to a fellow retail chain owner (Frank Buck of Kansas), sharing in detail Danners progress over the 1965-66 season. Newspaper advertisements indicate that the stores grand opening was held on October 28-30, 1965.Meadows Shopping Center in Indianapolis - Center is about 150,000 sq. ft. - (This was a Woolworth store, and they had done poorly against Murphy in the same center.
