Description: Men wearing band uniforms pose behind a set of musical chimes on a stand. The novelty instrument, known as Shaker Chimes, Organ Chimes, or Aluminum Chimes was invented by J. C. Deagan around 1900.Written on the back of the copy print is #139 Neg - From the Middlebury IN Public Library Historical Section / Musical Chimes L.Schrock, Dan Albert, and Amos Freeland. The men are likely Middlebury residents , Leslie G. Schrock (1888-1975), Daniel W. Albert (1881-1931), and Amos J. Freeland (1887-1972). Schrock was listed as a piano tuner in the 1910 Middlebury census.
