Description: |
The small ten-seat restaurant and drive-in, located on the corner of West Broadway Street and Second Avenue, opened in about 1965 and was managed by Ray and Laurana Horn until it closed in late 1979. It was known for corn dogs, coney dogs, hamburgers, milkshakes, and cake donuts. Richard Hogshire opened the first Gay Dan in Indianapolis in 1950. The small chain restaurant was named after the Gay 90s era, but many of the restaurants were renamed Mr. Dan in the 1970s.Photo collected by Greg Wright for his book, More of Prince Town: A Pictorial History of Princeton, Indiana.
