Stonerock with an arrow pointing to the man in front wearing a bowler hat.William M. Stonerock (born 1857) is listed in the 1901 Muncie City Directory, p. 666 as owner of the William M. Stonerock & Son shooting gallery and bowling alley at 408 1/2 South Walnut Street. His son Anthony R. Stonerock is his partner and sons Harry F. and J. Walter also work there. The 1902 Muncie Sanborn map indicates that the frame building at that site, located between East Charles and East Howard Streets, held a bowling alley and rifle range and that a restaurant was to the right. In the 1903 Muncie City Directory, William Stonerock had a shooting gallery and Anthony R. Stonerock worked at a factory. |
