Description: Erma Kathleen Settle, age 5, poses with a doll, circa 1935. She is wearing a winter coat, a dress, thick stockings, and boots. Her hair is in pincurl ringlets. The photograph was taken the Settle family home located at 2325 North Parker Avenue in Indianapolis, according to that years city directory and writing on the back of the photo.Erma (Settle) Lillard (1930-1997) is the daughter, and youngest child, of Carrie (Marley) Settle and Charles Settle. She married William Bill Lillard (1929-1983), circa 1947.From the Settle Family Collection, comprised of nearly 100 photographs saved by lifelong Indianapolis resident Carrie (Marley) Settle (1895-1985). The photos feature her brothers and sisters, her husband Charles Settle (1888-1949). their eight children, and more than twenty grandchildren.
