Written on the back is Jane [Altha Jane Cravey] / Mark [Mark Riegel]/ Summer 78.The stainless steel diner was manufactured by Mountain View Diners in Signac, New Jersey and shipped via railroad to Bridgeport (now part of Indianapolis) on the north side of the National Road (U.S. 40) in 1954. In 2008 the restaurant closed and in 2014 the prefabricated building was moved four miles west to 405 West Main Street in downtown Plainfield. |
