The photo is time stamped May, 1968. The house, located on the Warren Park Horse Farm, was owned by William Putnam Ijams and Sally (Warren) Ijams. They owned the harness race horse Axtel. It was located on south side of Terre Haute in an area approximately south of I-70 and Highway 41. The house and stables needed costly repairs and deteriorated by the time this snapshot was made. It was demolished and the land was developed into housing and retail use. |
