This stereoview probably shows Jacob Slife (August 1838-1925) and his wife Catherine (Raker) Slife (1842-1918). The 1900 census shows Jacob Slife was a farmer in Seward Township in Kosciusko County.The handwriting in the lower right corner is very similar to other stereoviews made by the American View Co., of Claypool, Indiana. It was owned around 1905 by David H. Clymer, who offered photographs primarily from Kosciusko and Wabash Counties. |
