The homestead was located on Andy Smith Road west of Castleton near 82nd Street. Handwritten below the photo is Picture taken about 1900. Wilson died in 1902 - Edna was born 1895. She looks about 5 years old. Left to right - James (Uncle Jim) Whitesell, Wilson Whitesell, Anna Whitesell Kuhn with daughter Martha and Edna, Lutella Crigler Whitesell, Sarah (Aunt Sade), Martha Crigler Whitesell, and Omer Markle Whitesell, Omer was 16 years old in 1900. This house remained standing (in good condition) until 1960+ |
