Pickwick Building and Theatre and Syracuse entry arch, Syracuse, Indiana, 1937

Description: A view of the Pickwick Block and Pickwick Theatre. An archway over the street reads Syracuse the Host City / 1937. The block was located on the northwest corner of West Main and North Huntington Streets.According to newspapers of the era, owner W. E. Long built these structures designed by architect L. H. Warriner in about 1936-1937 after earlier buildings on the block were destroyed by fire.
