Marion County Asylum for the Incurable Insane, Julietta, Indianapolis, Indiana, circa 1915

Description: This was the Marion County Asylum for the Incurable Insane [not state, as captioned] also known as the county poor house or the county farm. This building was constructed in 1899 and 1900 and opened in June 1900. It was located in the Julietta community near the northwest corner of Brookville Road and South County Line Road (or South Carroll Road). The brick structure was designed by architects Scharn and Rubush.
