Postmarked August 17, 1911 - 4 days after the Pennsylvania Flyer train, en route from Chicago to New York, derailed at the switch and crashed into a freight train near Swinney Park in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on August 13th, 1911. At least four people died and more than 30 were injured. This image shows a train car that has Wissinoming on the side and one that reads Penn. |
