An Indianapolis Star article Its a Coal Office Inside and Out, Nov. 2, 1930, p. 6 with this photo by Bass Photo Co. states The company recently opened its first retail office here, and built the walls of the structure from Bonnie Blue coal, mined by the company. No effort was made to obtain square chunks for the walls, and the exterior presents an attractively irregular appearance. The blocks of coal are secured with concrete. |
