(Ettie), Hannah C. in middle and on right unidentified. Ettie and Hannah are Dayhuff Sisters. (this building was on site of the current Post Office).According to census records, their father Daniel Dayhuff operated a hotel in Paoli in 1860 and his widow Mary C. operated the hotel after his death. In 1910 Ellen Dayhuff (1843-1930) lived with her unmarried sisters and is listed as keeping hotel. In 1920 76-year old Ellen kept a boardinghouse on North Gospel Street and lived with her sisters in the house. |
