Description: |
Signatures at the bottom of the page are hard to decipher but look like Collier and L.T. Miller also known as Bill and Paddle. One of the men, a double leg amputee, sits in a wicker wheelchair while the other man pauses while pushing him. A sign in the background advertises Heise Bros & Co. / Flour / Feed.Heise Brothers & Company feed mill was originally located in Orleans. Brothers Ernest, Earl, and Roy took over a feed and ice plant business from their father and uncle around 1918. They later opened two more locations in Bedford and Mitchell. |
