Handwritten on the back is Valentine Schneider / Father of Bob, Jim, Dick. The arrows point to banker Valentine Schneider, fourth from the left at the counter. Two people hold a sign that reads Out of Coke.Joseph B. Wade (1888-1970) and his wife Helen (Ingalls) Wade operated a drugstore at 1068-1070 Virginia Avenue on the square for 52 years, closing in the late 1950s.The store was at the intersection of Virginia Avenue, Prospect Street, and Shelby Street. His granddaughters state that pharmacist Joseph Wade is seated to the far left. |
