Written on the back of the unsent postcard is Sunday augst 8 1909 / Miss Golda Robsin[?] / Well I will rite you a few line to let you no that an well I am still alive yet I thougt I wold send you the main _____ at Tocsin the sand bank.The Star Press (Muncie, Indiana), March 15, 1909, p. 6 states that the Bank of Tocsin would open in a cement block building before June 1. The Fort Wayne Sentinel, April 7, 1909, p. 11 stated that the new cement block would be built by the Tocsin banking company in conjunction with William Plummer. A Knights of Pythias lodge hall would be above two business rooms in the building.In 1909 these churches were in Tocsin: German Lutheran Church; Tocsin U. B. Church |
