Construction of Bainbridge School, Bainbridge, Indiana, 1908

Description: Postmarked November 24, 1908. Contractors of the Bainbridge School pose near the partially constructed brick school on the northwest corner of Seminary and Washington Streets. According to the Bainbridge Alumni Association, the school was built in 1908, remodeled in 1916, and enlarged in 1922 to include a gymnasium. It closed in 1969 when Bainbridge, Roachdale, and Russellville students integrated into the North Putnam Community Schools system.
